Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) is an ancient, but always evolving, practice for treating ailments in our pets.
Based in Daoism, TCVM is the idea that we (and our pets) are like small versions of the larger universe, with life energy - Qi or Chi - as an innate force driving actions and transformations in both the universe as a whole, and inside our own bodies. Disease is viewed as an imbalance of our Qi, and TCVM seeks to identify that disharmony by considering not only the symptoms, but how they relate to the individual experiencing them.
TCVM treatments are generally non-invasive, with few side effects, and include Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine and Massage Therapy.
Integrative Medicine is the combination of both traditional (Western) veterinary practice and TCVM.
