Sharon Whitehall—Whitehall Photography

I guess I could say how photography is my passion and how I grew up with a camera in my hand….how I knew I wanted to be a photographer…. Most of that wouldn’t be true. Being a photographer, a pet photographer didn’t really cross my mind. Most kids, myself included, want to be a veterinarian or a doctor. But I did LOVE taking pictures.

Then life happened. But I kept taking pictures. Photographing events, weddings and my kids. Then the digital age began. My skills grew and the spark to see the world through the lens lit on fire. It has been almost 15 years since then. Capturing a snapshot of people’s lives for them to treasure. I found that it was something I enjoyed and was good at. In 2013, we got a new pup, Millie…there were LOTS of pictures of the new pup. I realized I really liked taking pictures of dogs and she made it really easy. I started taking pictures of other dogs. I took some pet photography classes and my niche was created.

These days my favorite things to photograph dogs, kids and families. And I am in pure heaven if I can put all three together. Millie is my heart dog, she gets me. I realized that there are lots of people like me that their dog is a big part of their life and they need to be included in the pictures that go on the wall. That is what I want to for my customers, include the WHOLE family. Four legged ones included.
