Autumn is in full swing, and the leaves are falling fast! When you’re raking your yard, keep a bag of leaves set aside. When it snows, use the leaves to make a familiar path and potty area for your dog.
This is especially helpful for rescue dogs from warmer climates, that may have never seen snow, or for older dogs that might have a hard time getting around in snow or on ice.
And, when the snow melts in the spring, dry leaves are a great way to temporarily cover up muddy areas.
