I’ve often photographed pets, then heard several years later that they passed. But this was the first time I was contacted because there was no time left. I usually do a pre-session consultation, but even that was waived. Here is Ms. Maggie but, despite the prognosis, she was engaged during the session and I was able to capture her sweetness for her parents.
It was a short session, since Maggie decreed that it was only to be about 20 minutes. I got home, processed the photos and learned 5 days later that she had crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
Showed the mom a great slideshow, with touching music, and she cried. This was a hard one; I’m sure I’ll probably have more like this. But the parents have some touching photos of their beloved Maggie.
The black and white photo has a new favorite quote of mine from Maya Angelou. I feel that last line can definitely be for our furbabies, too.
