Dogs tend to be the first "kid" in a lot of families, and that's exactly what Zora was. Over her 16 years she had been there as three human siblings had been added to the family, and she had been around for lots of snuggles, walks and snowfalls. As she had gotten older and had trouble walking, her mom and dad had placed rugs around the wood floors to help her from slipping, and they had gotten a long ramp to help her get outside. She was a special dog and part of the family.
It’s always hard to really know when it’s time, but Zora had lived a wonderful life and her family knew it was time for her to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Sixteen years is a long doggie life, but it is always too short for the people who are family.
