Cassie

By Joy Session® | February 20, 2017

I never really know what to expect when I'm called out to shoot a terminal ill or elderly dog. Is everyone going to be overcome with grief? Resentful? Crying?

But every single time, I always meet the warmest, kindest open people that are determined to make the last time they have their furry loved ones the best. And Nikki and Brianna were no exception.

I arrived to their home one early summer morning to photograph their dog Cassie. Cassie was a 14 year old golden that had been diagnosed with cancer that was spreading throughout her body. B+J had a bucket list of sorts with her and getting her photos professionally done was one of them.

We all made sure that Cassie was spoiled time. She had her fill of treats and toys and plenty of one on one time with everyone. She was an amazing dog and it was obvious that she was loved thoroughly through every moment of her fourteen year life.

Cassie sadly passed away a month later, she surrounded by her loving moms in her final moments.
