Its been just over a year since Max lost his fight to cancer. Not a day goes by where we I don't think about him. I used to cry a lot, but lately I've been remember his silly personality, how he made us happy, and stories that make me laugh.
We've memorialized our Max in a joyful way that we can share with our family and friends. In our living area, we keep our Sarah Beth Photography Joy Session book proudly on display. It warms my heart when we get compliments on how beautiful it is.
Max was cremated by MN Pets, we highly recommend them for end of life care. His ashes remain in a beautiful wood box, but I wanted to make the box a little more special and meaningful for Max. I painted and sanded it, and engraved it:
"If we could live our lives over again, we would have found you sooner, so we could have loved you longer."
We keep his collar around the box. Next to it is a wooden photo of our favorite Joy Session images, and his ceramic paw print MN Pets made for us on his last day with us.
