At almost 15 years old Kya’s body was failing her, and her family knew it was almost time when they would have to say good-bye to a loyal and loving member of their family. When I arrived for Kya’s photoshoot she greeted me with her sweet eyes, a tail wag and a smile. She had a hard time moving so we let her pick the locations for pictures and made sure every family member was able to get some special photo time. A big lap dog, Kya loved soaking up the attention and being surrounded by everyone she loved.
The day after our photo session, Kya was having a hard time walking because her back legs weren’t cooperating, and she was in a lot of pain. Her family knew it was time. They had a vet come to their home, and once the vet arrived, Kya walked over to the gurney and laid on it – she knew it was time too. Only 24 hrs after our photo session, Kya crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
To say Kya was loved is an understatement - she was adored. A lifetime of memories made with a special pup and she will never be forgotten.
